Commercial Removal of Debris Demonstration (CRD2) Objectives and process of CRD2

The CRD2 objectives of acquiring debris removal technologies and supporting the commercial endeavours of Japanese companies represent Japan's challenge to rapidly develop private companies capable of conducting space debris removal operations with safe and reliable technology in the space domain.

JAXA contributes to the enhancement of partner companies' technological capabilities by showcasing research and development achievements. In addition, JAXA is advancing the CRD2 project by incorporating expert insights into the future business vision of leading private companies.
